Robin was the junior partner of the Gotham City vigilante Batman, whose secret identity was Bruce Wayne.

History

Robin was Dick Grayson, who was taken in by Bruce and soon became his ward. Bruce and Dick lived in the stately Wayne Manor with their faithful butler Alfred and Dick's aunt, Harriet.

Robin witnessed the change of Superman into the powerless masked hero called Nova and wondered if the man could resist the challenges of being a crime fighter without super powers. After Nova became mind-controlled by Mr. Socrates and Batman helped him overcome the problem, Robin and the other heroes captured Socrates and his gang. Afterwards, Batman and Robin decided to train Superman, so he can also be a great hero.

Notes

• This version of Robin, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023.
