Doctor Richard Occult, the legendary Ghost Detective, is a famous magician who operated primarily during World War II.

He became the owner of the House of Secrets at an unknown point in time and decided to vanish and live there. He was attacked and killed by Nick Necro while attempting to defend the house from him. Nick Necro subsequently became the new owner of the House of Secrets.[2]
