Richard "Ricky" White is the son of Lana Lang and Donald White.
History
After his parents divorced and Donald left Smallville, Ricky became the only kid in town without a father, and frequently picked last among the other kids for games. One day, Ricky was saved by Superman and got his autograph. However, the autograph proves problematic, as Ricky got carried away and told other kids that Superman was going to come to his birthday party. Fearful over the consequences of Superman not showing up, Ricky's mom managed to convince her friend, Clark Kent (a friend of Superman) to talk to Superman about appearing. Luckily for Ricky, Superman did come to his birthday, which the entire town had come out for.
Some days later, Ricky went to Metropolis with his mom, where he encountered Superman (then affected by Kryptonite and evil). Ricky's pleas managed to make Superman to start snapping out of the effects of the Kryptonite. Afterwards, Ricky moved to Metropolis with his mother.

Trivia
- An unrelated Richard White appears in Superman Returns.
- Ricky's last name was never said in the film. However, a sign at his mom's High School reunion gives his father's last name as "White".
