Rio de Janeiro, or simply Rio, is the second largest city in Brazil after São Paulo.
History
Rio is also capital of the homonymous state and was the second capital of Brazil[1] until 1960 when it was transferred to Brasilia.
The city is famous for its beaches, where the JLI member Fire played as a child.[2]
The Justice League International has one of its embassies in Rio de Janeiro.[3]
Batman was twice in Rio: in the first time he and Thorn faced Neo-Nazis[4]; in the second time the Caped Crusader tracked the serial killer Queen of Hearts to Rio de Janeiro, and there he fought a mental entity known as The Idiot.[citation needed]
