Rita Novelle is a Holliday College graduate and the mayor of Triboro City.
History
While running for mayor Rita was approached by members of the Blue Seal Gang, looking for her to clandestinely support their activities in return for their support in the election. She angrily turned them away, and was subsequently shot by a member of the gang when she won the election despite their attacks on her supporters. While the doctor's initial assessment was that the wound would prove fatal the assassination attempt failed after the intervention of Wonder Woman who brought an Amazonian Healing Salve to help treat the wound. While she was recovering in the hospital Rita told her sister Chic the identity of her attackers, which her sister passed on to the Daily Blade and Selldom Wright of Fearless Men Magazine.
When Mayor Rita was preparing to leave the hospital she was attacked and abducted by the Blue Seal Gang. While the Gang thought they'd covered all their bases and the police supposedly searching for the missing mayor only did a cursory search of the building they were holding her in before leaving Wonder Woman and Chic were on their trail and recovered both Rita and Selldom, whom the gang had also captured due to his investigation into their operation.
