Robert Long is the long-lost son of Donna Troy. He is destined to become one of the Lords of Chaos.
History
Donna was nineteen when she married Robert's father, the much older Terry Long. Their marriage was tumultuous and they got divorced soon after Robert was born, resulting in a vicious custody battle as Terry tried to keep Robert away from Donna. Shortly after his first birthday, Robert was seemingly killed along with his father and half-sister Jennifer in a car accident.[1] However, in reality he had been kidnapped by Granny Goodness. Granny told Robert and the other boys she had taken that they were orphans. She raised them to be the start of the Furious; a private army under her control, separate from Darkseid's forces.[2]
When Robert and the others were about ten, Granny "took in" another baby, Wade West. Granny had attempted to fake Wade's death like the others but she failed and so his family knew he had been taken.[3] Wade's father The Flash, who was also an old friend and teammate of Robert's mother Donna, followed Granny to the Palace of Eternity with a host of other heroes to rescue Wade. He chased Granny and Wade into the Forever Corridor while Robert and the Furious fought the Flash's allies.
Wally eventually returned with Wade. The Furious demanded to know where Granny was and he told them that she abandoned them, and that they were not orphans but were stolen from their real families. This was confirmed when a scan revealed thatRobert's teammate PJ was the son of Mister Terrific, one of the Flash's allies. Wally did not recognise Robert and his teammate Cerdian as his friend's children, but promised them that he would find out who they really were and return them to their rightful homes. They fled the collapsing Palace and, after months of adventures across time and space, managed to find their way back to Earth in the 21st Century.[2]

Notes
- Robert Long was created by Marv Wolfman and Art Nichols, first appearing in Team Titans #1: Killowat. However, Robert Long first appeared as part of Prime Earth continuity in The Flash #799 by Jeremy Adams.
- There was no indication that Robert existed in the post-Flashpoint universe prior to his first appearance. It appears he was retroactively added to the history of Prime Earth following the "unknotting" of the timeline after the events of Dark Nights: Death Metal.
