Professional History
Robert Pattinson is a British actor who, after a shaky start, has become a highly respected performer in film. After getting his start in mainstream Hollywood playing Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, he received widespread backlash for portraying Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga films, which caused him to move to working in independent movies as a character actor.
Pattinson garnered praise for his performances as Connie Nikas in Good Time and Thomas Howard in The Lighthouse, leading him to return to mainstream films with his role as Neil in Tenet. In 2022, his performance as the title character in Matt Reeves' film The Batman earned him acclaim from both critics and audiences, some of whom declared him the best live-action iteration of the character.
Pattinson went on to voice the Grey Heron in the English dub of The Boy and the Heron, earning him further praise. He will reprise the role of Batman in The Batman – Part II, set to begin shooting in late 2025 for a 2027 release date.
