Robby Reed is the original owner of the H-Dial which allows him to fight crime using a number of superhero identities.
History
DC Rebirth
Some time in the past, the young Robby Reed found the mystical H-Dial that magically empowers him into becoming a different superhero each time he spins the dial.
Doomsday Clock
After Superman was framed and rendered comatose, Robby Reed, as the Human Starfish, traveled aboard a Kryptonian Rocket with the Superman Family and Metal Men to join a group of heroes in confronting the party they believed to be responsible on Mars. Reed's wonder at the alien world, having never seen even the Earth outside of the United States of America, earned him a reprimand from the Flash. The heroes met and engaged Doctor Manhattan, but they were easily defeated.[3]
Altered Continuity
Origin
A few days after Robby's defeat at the hands of Doctor Manhattan, Manhattan undid his "experiment" by restoring the JSA's existence which set in motion a chain of events that led to the birth of a new timeline of Earth 0:[4] as a consequence of the reality changes, in the altered continuity, Robby was born many years before he was supposed to in the previous timeline.

Infinite Frontier
After Earth 0 was restored to existence, along with all the other realities of the Multiverse, by the Hands in the wake of the last Metal War, Robby's story was altered again so that he was once again a child from Littleville.
Dawn of DC
Around May 2024, in his civilian identity, Reed played batter for a Littleville children's baseball team. In a game against Blue Valley's team, he struck out against their pitcher Mike Dugan to the consternation of his teammate, though the game was soon disrupted by a battle between Blue Valley's resident superheroes Stargirl and S.T.R.I.P.E. and villains Dragon King (who was riding a dragon) and Shiv.[5]

Notes
- Robby Reed was created by Dave Wood and Jim Mooney, first appearing in House of Mystery #156. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Robby Reed first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Doomsday Clock #9 by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank.
- The history of Robert Reed has been altered by the cosmic upheavals many times: in the original timeline of Earth 0, which came to exist in the wake of Doctor Manhattan's manipulations and the Rebirth, Robby was just a child, like his Pre-Flashpoint counterpart;[3] after Manhattan undid his "experiment",[4] Robby's history was severely altered in the new timeline, leading to the events of Dial H for Hero (Volume 1).[1] However, after the unknotting of the timeline and the rebirth of the Multiverse, Robby was restored to his original child self.[5]
