- I see you sons of a thousand fathers have come to your senses enough not to cross steel with me...

Robin Redblade was a 17th Century pirate, sidekick of Captain Leatherwing, and one of the crew of the Flying Fox.
History
Robin Redblade was born and raised on the streets of Kingston, Jamaica. A poor and orphaned child, he grew up with the dream of becoming a privateer while robbing drunk pirates on the streets with his group of friends.
However, after a robbery, Spivey, one of the members of his group confronts him, ridiculing his dream of becoming a privateer, pointing out that Robin used a mask without even having a family to protect or knowing his father's name. Robin knocks Spivey out, but his friends tell him that Spivey will never forgive him for such a thing. Robin then leaves the group and heads to the port in order to follow his dream.
He ends up infiltrating Captain Leatherwing's ship and living hidden in its hold. One day, he overhears two members of his crew plotting a mutiny against Leatherwing, and is discovered by the crew. Leatherwing rewards Robin with food after he reports the attempted betrayal against him. Robin then becomes part of the crew, assisting Capitana Felina (who was disguised as Countess Maria Consuela Esperanza Fortuna Domingo Disantis) after Leatherwing "rescues" her.
When the crew arrives at Bat's Cay, Leatherwing explains his origins and motivations to Robin that made him become a pirate, but Leatherwing wonders where Capitana Felina is and Robin goes in search of her. Robin overhears and sees the plot between Capitana Felina and The Laughing Man, but is captured before he can do anything. He is arrested and questioned by Capitana Felina while The Laughing Man's crew prepares to invade Bat's Cay. Robin manages to convince Capitana Felina that Leatherwing does not love Princess Quext'chala, but her.
Felina, remorseful, frees Robin and fires the ship's cannon to alert Leatherwing and his crew. During the ensuing fight, Robin throws himself in front of Leatherwing to shield him from The Laughing Man's shot, much to the surprise of Leatherwing and Felina. Leatherwing kills The Laughing Man, forgives Capitana Felina, and takes Robin to his ship to use his surgical skills to save the boy. The story ends with Robin recovering from his injuries watching Leatherwing and Capitana Felina happily sail away while The Laughing Man's corpse lies at the bottom of the sea, still laughing along with the fishes.
