While Robin is observing the camp of the army commanded by the General, Tim's father Jack has called the police because his son whom he had grounded is nowhere to be found.

Meanwhile the tension between the General and Ali Ben Khadir reaches a breaking point. The young ruler is no longer fond of Ulysses' behavior and wants to release him from his command duties. But the General is prepared - he has hired four mercenaries which originally fought for the opponent and now shall help him become the new ruler of Dhabar. The General sends Deadline on a scouting mission, but the mercenary gets ambushed by Robin. Using Deadline's flying discs, Robin enters the battle zone with Nightwing providing aerial backup. As Robin gets near the General, Ali Ben Khadir already has his former commander subdued and orders to arrest him. Robin thinks that the General deserves the coming non-lethal punishment and decides to leave the country without him.

Surprisingly, Robin does not want to return to Gotham. He feels spiritually lost and therefore Dick drops him off in France before flying back to the USA ...
