Synopsis for "Unfathomable"

At the shore, Robin has met Lagoon Boy who is looking for a pet sea creature he calls "Spotty". But its not Spotty showing up, but instead a much bigger creature with tentacles. The creature pulls Robin down into the water and Lagoon Boy is unable to stop it.

Meanwhile, Stephanie Brown has to explain to her mother why she impersonated a nurse at the hospital. She is being honest saying that she dates "Batman's" Robin and that she wants to find him and find out who is behind the mask respectively. In the evening, Spoiler is outside on a roof when she is confronted by Batman. Spoiler tries to run away scared, but Batman is not to be denied and stops her. Interestingly though, he just wants to find Robin who seems to have disappeared. And that really worries Stephanie as well.

Robin wakes up in an underwater cavern where the sea creature already has placed other humans as well. A biologist thinks that they might serve as fooder for the future offspring of the creature. Luckily, Lagoon Boy arrives with Spotty and together they evacuate the cavern. The sea creature appears again, but Spotty and Lagoon Boy are able to fight it off and to bring Robin to the surface. But now Robin needs to explain at Brentwood Academy why he was absent for the last 36 hours ...
