Robinson Park is a landmark located in one of the more impoverished neighborhoods in Gotham City.

History

Its borders extend between South Gotham and Central Gotham Island. The park was the scene of a violent firefight between a GCPD SWAT team and a mysterious nocturnal vigilante known as the Batman. Selina Kyle and her young companion Holly Robinson lived in an apartment building just outside of Robinson Park. In recent years, Robinson Park became the base of operations for Poison Ivy during the No Man's Land affair. Many of the park's more notable landmarks such as the Forum of the Twelve Caesars, Finger Castle, and the Robinson Park Reservoir were destroyed during No Man's Land. Once Gotham was re-instituted, a restoration project was put underway to repair the damage.[citation needed]

After the No Man's Land period, the park was the place where the last stage on Batman's "war games" plan was set in motion. Every single criminal in Gotham was gathered in the Park's amphitheater in order to get them under the command of Orpheus, meanwhile the GCPD formed a barrier outside the place.[1] The plan failed when Black Mask posed as Orpheus, causing some of the criminals to rebel against Batman and some to run away from the place. This caused a battle against criminals and the GCPD on the Park's grounds, which ended up with several casualties from both sides.[2]
