The Robots of Terror were enemies of the Metal Men.
History
When a distraught Platinum finally grew too depressed from Will Magnus' rejection of her love, she created a robotic doppleganger who turned out to have an evil Responsometer. This Magnus created his own group of Metal Men to destroy the originals and included Plutonium as a last-ditch atomic weapon in case anyone tried to stop him from abducting Tina and ruling the Earth as he pleased. Platinum proved a hero by forcing Doc Robot, Plutonium, and herself onto a rocket that then exploded in outer space, saving humanity from the nuclear fallout.
