The Rocket Red Brigade are a team of government-sponsored super-heroes in Russia, originally developed by the Soviet Union. Their high-tech armor was designed with the help of Kilowog, a member of the Green Lantern Corps, during his first trip to Earth. The original Rocket Red was Josef Denisovich, but many others have held that title. There have been several Rocket Red to become members of Justice League International including Vladimir Mikoyan, Dmitri Pushkin, and Gavril Ivanovich. The Rocket Red Brigade was created by Steve Englehart and Joe Staton, first appearing in Green Lantern Corps #208. (1987)
