Rog-Ar was a Kryptonian criminal.
History
Rog-Ar killed off the Rondors, a large species of Kryptonian animals whose horns had powerful healing powers. He mentally took control the Kryptonian doctor Quex-Ul, who had discovered Rog-Ar's crime, and commanded him to open a healing emporium that used fake machines actually powered by the slain Rondors' horn to heal paying patients, while Rog-Ar kept the enormous profits. Furthermore, he commanded Quex-Ul to take the blame for Rog-Ar's crimes if caught, resulting in Quex-Ul being sentenced to the Phantom Zone for 18 Kryptonian years. This allowed Quex-Ul to survive Krypton's destruction, while Rog-Ar did not. Superman discovered that Quex-Ul had been framed by Rog-Ar by traveling into Krypton's past.

- This version of Rog-Ar (Earth-One), including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
