Rog is an ancient robot used by the Brotherhood of Evil to terrorize the world and is currently used by the Doom Patrol in their bizarre adventures.

Creation

As the inventor of the evil organization, the Brotherhood of Evil, Eric Morden suggested using Rog as a dangerous giant robot to terrorize the world, an idea that Brain, the leader of the Brotherhood, rejected, expelling Morden from the Brotherhood, however, the Brotherhood used Rog until he was thrown into his personal trash can.[1][2]

Tricking his archenemy, Niles Caulder, and his creations, who became the new Doom Patrol after saving him, Morden, now known as Mister Nobody, sent them into a false illusion, where he had them confront Rog. Easily, Rog killed the team several times while Niles screamed for his teammates until he realized the illusion and Morden revealed himself, showing that they never left the White Space and never became heroes.[1]

Used by Cliff Steele

After breaking free of her restraints, Laura De Mille, a former member of the Brotherhood, placed the brain of her robotic friend, Cliff Steele, into the central cylinder of Rog's body, and Laura guided Cliff to crush to Brain in search of it his revenge against his great nemesis, Rita Farr, but Cliff managed to control the body.

Cliff used Rog to apologize to his daughter Clara and his friends, though his body began to fail from Parkinson's, heading to a baseball field, before Rita heroically stopped Cliff. When Rita convinced all of his roommates to truly become the new Doom Patrol, Cliff began using Rog's body for the good, transporting his teammates inside to travel to distant locations to face various evils.[2] 3 months after Cliff got his old body, Rog's head was put as a transport for the Doom Patrol, sticking the time machine to his head to travel to different missions.[3]
