The dictator of Romiro attempted to abduct the hereditary monarch of that little nation, which brought him into conflict with Lance Gallant, which led to the despot's demise.

History

Romiro was one of the few Western European nations that ever was a monarchy, and in 1928 it became a republic, upon the abdication of King Rudolf, who emigrated to America. But by 1948 the little nation had been taken over by an outright despot, calling himself Supremo. The country's hereditary monarch, Carl Del Rey, had grown up as a U.S. citizen, and worked at a gas station. The country's current tyrant traveled there in person, with a team of assassins, to abduct Carl back to Romiro, to lend legitimacy to Supremo's regime.

A chance encounter with Lance Gallant led to the involvement of Captain Triumph in the situation, with the result that Supremo's assassins were defeated and Supremo himself was killed.
