"The Last of the Ravenwind Witches!": This story is reprinted from Swamp Thing #5.

Roots of the Swamp Thing #3 is an issue of the series Roots of the Swamp Thing (Volume 1) with a cover date of September, 1986.

Synopsis for "The Last of the Ravenwind Witches!"

This story is reprinted from Swamp Thing #5.

Swamp Thing stows away on a merchant vessel leaving Europe bound for America. Mid-voyage, he is discovered and the crew of the ship attacks him. He fights them off and leaps into the sea, where he eventually washes ashore near the cliffs of Divinity, Maine.

Matt Cable learns that Interpol is pulling him off of the Holland case, but he will not be deterred. He is determined to destroy the Swamp Thing and avenge the death of Alec Holland.

Synopsis for "Night Prowler!"

This story is reprinted from House of Mystery #191.

A man is depressed over the news, including the reports of a series of burglaries. He and his wife go to bed, later awakened to a noise downstairs. The man goes down with a weapon, ready to confront the potential prowler, but the stranger in the house is in fact a special jolly visitor. The man returns to his bedroom, more optimistic about the future.
