Rose Walker is the daughter of Miranda Walker and Burt Paulsen, and the sister of Jed Walker. She was supposed to be the next Dream Vortex, a mortal who becomes the center of the Dreaming and threatens to destroy it by bringing all dreams together.
History
Rose as the Dream Vortex
Rose searched for her missing brother Jed with the help of her friend "Gilbert".
Eventually, Rose becomes the new Dream Vortex; a special entity that appears only very rarely, with the ability to connect the dreams of other beings and can cause the destruction of the Dreaming. Just before the Dream of the Endless can kill Rose, her grandmother Unity Kincaid appears and explained that she should have been the Vortex, asking for Rose's heart. Taking the heart, Unity becomes the Vortex and dies.
