Rowten was an enemy of Tex Thomson.

History

In the late 1930s, Rowten attempted to overthrow the government of Nestralia, and was assembling men and weapons for that purpose. He encountered two American adventurers, Tex Thomson and Bob Daley, and a violent conflict developed between them. Thomson fought Rowten's gang with his fists, and fought Rowten himself with a sword, but he wasn't really winning, until the Nestralian police were called in by Bob Daley. Rowten was arrested.

• This version of Rowten, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023.
