Roxie Hodder was a H-Dial user, an ally of Nelson Jent.
History
Roxie Hodder was a hippie who got her degree in science in the '60s, studying the history of telephony. She saw spiritual connections in the use of telephones and uncovered their secret origin. In her research, Roxie discovered an H-Dial and by dialing up H-E-R-O, she transforms into random superheroes for a few hours at times. She acted as a hero, but continued to chase the mysterious origins of the H-Dial. Every time Roxie turns into the heroes, she finds herself becoming overwhelmed by their personalities. So, she created a costumed identity, Manteau, which enables her to keep herself focused.
Roxie later met Nelson Jent, another H-Dialer. When they also acquired an S-Dial, which enabled the user to transform into a sidekick, they agreed to alternate the use of the two dials.
