History

Ruby met Clark Kent at Balducci's restaurant when he was still new in Metropolis and needed a job to pay for his studies at Metropolis University. What started as a crush blossomed quickly into a closer friendship, albeit a brief one. Clark credited her with turning him from a Kansas farm boy into a city dweller. Even after Clark left the restaurant, he remained close, introducing her to the man who would eventually become her husband, and frequently visiting her and her kids in a Metropolis suburb.
