Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer had a very shiny nose, and if one ever saw it, one would even say it glowed.
History
All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names; they never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games. Then, one foggy Christmas eve, Santa came to say, "Rudolph, with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?" Then all the reindeer loved him, and they shouted out with glee, "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, you'll go down in history!" And so he did.

- Flight: Like all of Santa's reindeer, Rudolph is capable of magical flight.
- Unique Physiology: Rudolph's nose emits a bright red glow, illuminating darkness and cutting through fog and mist. This effect may be magical in nature.

- Rudolph originated in a children's book by Robert L. May published to advertise the Montgomery Ward department store and was immortalized by a 1948 animated short film produced by Robert Fleischer and a 1949 novelty song by Gene Autry. The character was licensed by DC Comics for a series of comic book specials published each Christmas from 1950 to 1961.
- According to Crisis on Infinite Earths: Absolute Edition, Rudolph's adventures took place on Earth-Twelve, the same world as various other humorous series such as The Adventures of Bob Hope and The Inferior Five.
