Runaround Sue was a member of the Freak Show, a team of super villains whose creation was financed by Lillian Hawkes.

History

They attacked Green Lantern Hal Jordan on two occasions and Sue was able to steal his power ring at one point but had no idea how to use it. The ring returned to Green Lantern, who operated it from afar. On their next meeting, Green Lantern created an oil slick which sent Sue skidding uncontrollably into a wall. Sue was taken into custody with the rest of the Freak Show and has not been seen since.
