Sachiko is the criminal known as The Quiz and a former member of the Brotherhoods of Dada and Evil.

History

The Brotherhood of Dada used the Painting That Ate Paris to fight the Doom Patrol. This adventure was mentioned by Danny the Street to Casey Brinke in the form of animatronic statues.

When the teams fought years ago, the heroes left the Brotherhood stranded inside the Painting That Ate Paris. Sachiko spent years there, where it was peaceful and was clean. However, she was taken from the painting against her will by General Immortus, who requested her help in fighting the Doom Patrol once again, leveraging access to the painting to ensure her cooperation with his new Brotherhood of Evil.

While Immortus sought to gain the power of the Candlemaker entity, the Quiz and the Brotherhood distracted the Patrol with a strike at their headquarters. The Quiz used her myriad powers to cripple the Doom Patrol's Chief with anxiety and to do battle with her alter Black Annis, but was rendered unconscious by Elasti-Woman. Her mind was then linked to that of the Chief by Negative Man, allowing the Chief's alter Crazy Jane to win her over with an offer of help.

Sachiko joined the Patrol and their allies in a confrontation with Immortus, now one with the Candlemaker as "the Eternal Flame." Though Immortus destroyed the fragment of the painting from which she had come, the Quiz was able to open a portal beneath him and trap him in the Bleed between realities. Rather than take Jane up on her offer, however, Sachiko then fled without a word.

• Quiz was created by Grant Morrison and Richard Case, first appearing in Doom Patrol (Volume 2) #26. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Quiz first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Doom Patrol (Volume 6) #3 by Gerard Way and Nick Derington.
