Sandalphon was a fallen angel.

History

At the end of Lucifer's revolt against Heaven, Sandalphon wounded and captured the victorious archangel Michael. Angels could not reproduce so their numbers could not be replenished, but a demiurgic archangel could. Sandalphon chained Michael and created countless half-angels by mating him with human women. All offspring were failures, except for Elaine Belloc.
