Synopsis for "Eternity Game, Part I"

In the ethereal planes of the Egyptian realm, the goddess of fertility, Lady Bast, laments her ever-growing weakness. Refusing to give in, she seeks out the one being whom she knows can provide her with answers - Destiny. Bast enters Destiny's realm and asks him to tell her of her final fate. Destiny doesn't need to read from his book to tell that Bast's weakness is a result of humanity forgetting about her. Bast re-asserts herself and declares that she will make the humans remember her once again.

In the Earth realm, two young outcasts named Josh and Lucy watch a group of bullies terrorize a cat. When the bullies fail in their objective, they turn towards Josh and Lucy. The teens flee from their tormentors and seek refuge in an abandoned house in the woods. Lucy finds a broken statuette of Bast and decides to keep it. Josh and she argue with one another about religion and Josh storms off. He returns later and apologizes to Lucy by giving her a kitten.

Lucy returns home with the kitten, but her abusive father is furious that she has stayed out all evening. In anger, he kills the kitten and Lucy flees the house in tears. She runs out into the forest and walks across a fallen tree trunk suspended over a ravine. Lucy closes her eyes and jumps off into the ravine.
