Loki and Robin Goodfellow plot about their kidnapping. Daniel Hall walks up to them with a phoenix feather in his hand and the two set him on the fire.

Hob Gandling brings flowers to the grave of his latest love, Audrey, and tells her how much he misses her. Dream meets him as he leaves the cemetery and they walk together through the falling snow to the pub Faith, Hope, and Charity.

Destiny walks, trailing ghost books, through his realm's garden, meeting himself there.

Desire closes its realm.

Despair sits in her realm, gnawed on by rats.

Delirium notices that she had transformed into 111 colorful fish. She transforms back and remembers Barnabus.

At the pub, Hob speaks to Dream of Audrey and speaks of his wishes toward the hit-and-run driver who took her life. Dream abruptly leaves and Hob follows, commenting that Dream smells of death.

Lyta Hall repeatedly resolves to be strong for Daniel. Two Detectives come to her door saying they found a burnt body identified as Daniel. Lyta demands to see a photograph and sends them away.
