Sarah Olsen is the mother of Jimmy Olsen and was the wife of Jake Olsen.
History
Sarah Olsen remained widowed after her husband, Jake Olsen died, she raised Jimmy Olsen alone. Sarah was always over protective of Jimmy, she didn't approved of his job at the Daily Planet, when she went to confront Perry White a picture of young Perry caught her attention as in the background she could see Jake Olsen two years after his apparent death,[1] this led Sarah to try and find Jake, thinking he was still alive.
She eventually found out who was behind the death of Jake, the Evil Factory, who kidnapped Jake and used his body to perform clone experiments. Sarah got caught and captured by them as well but thanks to the help of Jimmy, Superman and The Guardian she got out and managed to get her revenge.[2] The encounter left Sarah deeply traumatized, she was hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital after becoming completely non-verbal, as she wouldn't speak to anyone, not even Jimmy,[3] but she later recovered.[4]
