Sasha Bordeaux is a former Secret Service agent who briefly worked as Bruce Wayne's bodyguard, being hired by Wayne Enterprises' second in command, Lucius Fox, against his boss' wishes. Wayne at first tried to avoid her, but she kept doing her job, eventually becoming suspicious and discovering his secret identity as the vigilante Batman, ultimately falling in love with him in the process. She later became an agent and the Black Queen of Checkmate. The New 52 reboot would go on to re-introduced Sasha as the director of A.R.G.U.S., replacing Amanda Waller.
