Quote1 And don't call me Cora! Your stupid friends will be gone for at least five hours, if not forever! So start talking! I want X-235 ... and I want it NOW! Quote2
Satana src

Satana was an enemy of the Blackhawk Squadron.

In the late 1940s, Satana led a gang of male criminals, based on a small, uncharted island. Henchmen who failed to carry out her orders were arbitrarily shot dead. She attempted to steal the formula for X-235, an experimental new substance, from its inventor, Dr. Howard Bunsen. During their first failed attempt to kidnap Dr. Bunsen, her stooges burned down his home laboratory, and kidnapped Bunsen's daughter Cora, whom they brought to Satana's lair. Except for their hair color, Satana and Cora were almost exact lookalikes. Satana made a second attempt to steal the X-235 formula, disguised as Cora Bunsen, she infiltrated Blackhawk Island.

When the Blackhawks worked out the position of her own base, and flew away to attack it, Satana worked over old Bunsen, torturing him until he told her the secret formula for X-235. Meanwhile the Blackhawks, in their Grumman Skyrockets, caught Satana's jet fighters just as they were taking off, and were able to destroy most or all of them on the ground. They landed, and killed most or all of Satana's gang in a running gunfight. When they returned to Blackhawk Island, they found Dr. Bunsen, near death, and Satana escaping in one of their speedboats. But the reefs around Blackhawk Island are tricky to navigate; Satana hit a rock and suffered a fatal head injury.

Abilities

Transportation

  • Satana had a squadron of jet fighters, and could fly one.

  • Satana's island base is five air-hours away, round trip,[1] from the Blackhawk Island of 1948, so 2.5 hours times 380 mph = 950 miles way.
  • Satana wore jodphurs and packed a six-shooter in a quick-draw holster.
