Scoop Scanlon worked as an investigative reporter for a newspaper called the Bulletin during the late 1930s and early 1940s. Working alongside him, was his trusty photographer, Rusty James.

Powers

Scoop Scanlan was an expert in the field of investigative journalism. As such, he likewise considered himself an amateur detective.

Scoop Scanlon is not to be confused with a reporter by the same name who once worked for a magazine called the View. This version of Scanlon once tried to discover the secret identity of the Batman in World's Finest Comics #6. After appearing in Action Comics, Scoop Scanlon appeared in several Holyoke Publishing titles, seemingly without any complaint from DC Comics. Because of this, the character's copyright status is uncertain.
