Sean Sonus, alias Discord is a sonic villain who fights Green Arrow and Black Canary.

History

Star City Orchestra violinist Sean Sonus was deafened by Black Canary's sonic scream. His doctor told him hearing aids and cochlear implants would not restore his hearing. Using his background in engineering, he constructed cybernetic enhancements allowing him some semblance of hearing. Using these enhancements, he muted all sound in Star City, resulting in riots and general chaos. When his brother, Matt, tried to stop him, he blasted him killing him even before he fell off the high rise building.

• Mechanical Engineering: Sonus abandoned his education in mechanical engineering against his father's wishes. Despite this, he was able to devise and construct his own cybernetic enhancements.

• Deafness: Sonus cannot hear without his cybernetic enhancements; with them, he has a facsimile of hearing.
