Quote1 Hmmm... what's this "DC"? "District of Columbia"? "Direct Current"?"Davy Crockett"? Sure, now I remember... "Detective Comics"! Big outfit back in the 40s... used to try an' compete with me and Plas and Blackhawk and Doll Man over at Quality Comics! Wonder whatever happened to 'em? Oh. Changed their name to "DC Comics," Huh? Or is that "DCC"? Quote2

Notes

  • The Plastic Man origin is based on the story in Police Comics #1 by Jack Cole; The 1988-1989 Plastic Man miniseries (which establishes Plastic Man's debut after Ronald Reagan's presidency) caused this story to become apocryphal; However, actual weight of evidence shows that the New Earth Plastic Man did in fact debut in the 1940s, and the miniseries itself can be considered apocryphal in New Earth canon.
