Synopsis for G'nort: "The Secret Origin of Gnort"

In the crowded city of Squashedbush, G'nelson and G'nancy Gneesmacher had a son they called G'nort. As a baby, G'nort's wellfare was a stressful task for his parents. Occasionally, his mother would try to calm the boy by dropping him from the roof of the house.

Years passed, G'nort grew up and started attending school, where he only listened when the teacher spoke about the legendary Green Lantern G'newmann G'noggs (who, according to G'nelson, was a distant relative of the Gneesmachers). G'nort's grades were disappointing, and his parents were ashamed of him. In time, G'nort left the house, and his parents didn't even notice. G'nort wandered alone, until he found the Green Lantern G'newmann G'noggs. G'newman, instead of a distant relative, turned out to be G'nort's uncle, and he tried to teach his nephew about the Green Lanterns. By the time G'nort was twenty years olg, G'newmann spoke to the Guardians to admit G'nort into the Corps. After lots of insistence, the Guardians finally accepted G'newmann's request for G'nort. G'nort quit his job as pizza deliverer, cut his hair, and after fourteen years of training, he became a Green Lantern, assigned to a space sector that had no life forms larger than an amoeba.
