Sector 3600 was one of 3600 sectors into which the Guardians of the Universe had divided the universe. Each sector was assigned one, and later two, members of the Green Lantern Corps.
History
Also known as "the Ultimate Sector," 3600 is a sector of the universe that has its own life. Long ago, the Mad God T:D:H:D became so powerful that he was one with the universe, and he merged his essence with the entire space sector. So great was his power that the galaxy became unstable, causing an explosion that took the life of its resident Green Lantern, Rasa Nekroy. Free from its limitations, the living sector started to move to its neighbors until the Guardians of the Universe intervened, reducing the Mad God to a small sphere and imprisoning it in the Sciencells on Oa. There he remained dormant until its fellow inmate Sinestro awakened it by telling stories showing the Guardians and the Green Lantern Corps aren't as infallible as they think.[1]
