Selene is the Titan goddess and personification of the Moon.
History
Selene is tasked with tripping daily across the sky, mostly at night, brightening the night time with soft moonlight.
The Titan Moon goddess is the daughter of Hyperion and sister of Helios the Sun and Eos the Dawn.[1]
She and other goddesses were joined by Hippolyta as Mary Marvel's new patronesses as part of the Shazam pantheon.[2]
Although Selene is identified with the Moon itself, in the Hellenic pantheon she shares the title of Moon goddess with the younger Olympian goddess Artemis.
