Selina Kyle, as Catwoman, was a Gotham City thief. She was aware of Batman's secret identity, and when the government - and Superman - came down hard on him, she decided to help him, because she felt Gotham needed the Batman. She burgled Lex Luthor's Gotham office and stole a chunk of Kryptonite. Though she gave it to Batman for free, she demanded $400,000 and a dinner date.

Bruce eventually took her to a boxing game in Las Vegas between Ted Grant and Cassius Clay.
