Synopsis for Wonder Woman: "The Million Dollar Tennis Game"
A heated argument breaks out between Sidney Simper, trustee of Holliday College, and chauvanistic Rufus Robust, trustee of rival Starvard. Simper argues his college's tennis team can beat Starvard's, and each agrees to put a million dollars on the line over the upcoming game. Robust is confident that having recently recruited the renowned Pete Athleet, his school's team can even stand up to Wonder Woman!
Afraid of losing a cushy job as head of a research foundation that would be opened with his uncle's donation, Robust's nephew Bluff decides to sabotage Wonder Woman's participation in the game. He uses a ball with special gas inside that will knock out the heroine and make her invisible to anyone not wearing infrared goggles like him. When the Holliday Girls who'd been attending Wonder Woman's training session figure she left without them and leave themselves, Bluff carries her to Starvard's Egyptology display, binds her with her own unbreakable golden lasso and mummy cloth, then stashes her in an empty sarcophagos.
The tennis tournament begins the next day without her, while Wonder Woman wakes up and realizes she's in a mummy box. "Flexing her face muscles as hard as possible," she's able to at least burst the wrappings around her head and see where she's going as she hops out the window and all the way to the tennis green! Once there, she gets Steve and Candy to unwrap her, then wrap her in the mummy wrap again so she can still play (still being invisible, this is the only way to convince anyone an actual person's there). Wonder Woman trounces the competition, and Steve shoots a pistol out of Bluff Robust's hand in a last desperate bid to save his upcoming position. He confesses, and Holliday wins the million dollar bet.
