Synopsis for Sargon The Sorcerer: "The Gift Horse"

A strange man suddenly runs up to Sargon as he's leaving after his last performance, hands him the reins of a horse, and runs off again. A suspicious Sargon leaves the horse with Max as he tries to find the man, and two seedy gentlemen offer to look after the horse, to the gratitude of confused city boy Max. Soon the owner returns, claiming to be millionaire Howard Belmont, who demands Sargon be arrested for stealing his $50,000 purebred horse. Sargon goes along with it, but only to get Belmont to drop his guard by thinking the wizard's in jail. As soon as the guard's not looking, Sargon easily lets himself out.

After collecting Max, Sargon heads out into the country to visit Belmont's estate. On the way, he visits several businesses claiming to represent Belmont, and is angrily told by every single person he meets they're not doing business with Belmont until he pays his tab. At Belmont's house, they find the supposedly stolen horse, with Sargon revealing that Belmont's broke and the plan had been to make Sargon cough up the $50k it's worth. Sargon uses his magic to make the horse talk, and make it malleable so it stretches its neck in horrifying ways, before chasing Belmont through the doors of the nearest police station, where he confesses his schemes.
