Seymour David was an assistant editor at the far-right magazine, the New Frontiersman. A fat, seedy, aloof teenager, Seymour was an annoyance to his boss Hector Godfrey. After the "alien invasion", David was given the choice by Godfrey to publish anything he wanted in the magazine, causing him to published the journal of Rorschach, radically changing his life forever. Seymour David was created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, and made his first appearance in Watchmen #5 (1986).
