- In "So Long, Scribbly", the new replacement soldier seems to strongly resemble DC Golden Age humor character Scribbly Jibbet, who was created by and based on Sheldon Mayer. However, Jibbet's presence in Easy Company during World War II is unlikely in the context of his publishing history.
