Sh'strians were an alien race of tiny humanoids from the utopian planet Sh'str. They came to Earth via dimensional travel to escape their planet's destruction after its sun went nova. They settled in Superman's Fortress of Solitude in a replica of the Bottle City of Kandor.
History
After explaining their situation to Superman, they were allowed to live in Superman's Kandor replica. The Sh'strians wished to live among humans, however. Superman was able to temporarily enlarge two of them and set them up with human identities at Galaxy Communications in Metropolis. Soon, the two Sh'strians transformed into mindless giant "barbarian beasts" and caused destruction in downtown Metropolis. Superman subdued them after realizing that they were mutated by Earth bacteria. The Man of Steel exposed the mutated aliens to White Kryptonite, which killed the bacteria and restored the Sh'strians to normal.[1]
