Synopsis for "The Pacific Rim Job"

Dharma sends the Shadow Cabinet to a small island in the South Pacific, where a new leader is being elected democratically over a former militant dictator. Iron Butterfly is used as a decoy, posing as the new leader, and the rest of the team prepares for an assassination attempt and/or coup from the militant factions. Iron Butterfly is shot by a sniper, but protected by her armor. Although Donner and Blitzen immediately find and stop the sniper, the surrounding streets soon erupt into a minor battlezone, involving shooting in the streets, and several tanks. The Cabinet puts the coup down, and restores the President to her rightful position, choosing to blindfold her while they explain her position, and remaining anonymous.
Later, Dharma reveals that actually the new leader will never allow herself to be voted out of office, despite her claims of brining democracy to her country. However, their intervention appears to have bought humanity more time on Earth.
