Synopsis for "The Demon Tryptych, Part Two: Cursed"

Some of Earth's heroes are questioned by reporters on Detective Chimp's "Three Universal Laws of Superheroics." Meanwhile Ragman and Nightshade travel to the Dark Tower to collect the Warlock's Daughter. They bring her to the Oblivion Bar where she chooses to make her home. Ragman checks on Enchantress and Nightmaster. Enchantress has cast a spell holding Nightmaster, who has been impaled through the chest, in a form of stasis until a solution can be found. A condition of the spell is that Enchantress must remain in close proximity to Nightmaster as well as stay concious - she's been awake for over 72 hours at this point.

Blue Devil is greeted by Vortigar, a servant-class demon, who informs him that he has been demoted (hell's version of promoted) to the rhyming-class of demon. This is in response to his heroics and popularity which has resulted in Hell being seen as "cool." As part of the demotion, Vortigar has become Blue Devil's servant. Blue Devil sends Vortigar back to Hell to learn all he can about Jack of Fire and any of Blue Devil's relatives.

Meanwhile in Hell Etrigan uses the stolen Trident of Lucifer to convince hundreds of demons to join him in overthrowing the rulers of Hell.

Blue Devil tries to rally the rest of the team to go to Hell to fight Etrigan but Detective Chimp is still in the hospital, Nightmaster is in stasis, Enchantress cannot leave his side and the souls in Ragman's suit refuse to help against Etrigan out of fear effectively making him powerless. So Blue Devil and Nightshade make a recruitment drive in the Oblivion Bar and accept three temporary members: Eli Stone a.k.a. The Midnight Rider, Acheron who is a powerful ghost, and Warlock's Daughter.
