Shaggy Man is an enemy of the Justice League of America and a member of the Injustice League Unlimited.
History
This version of Shaggy Man was created by Lex Luthor as a method of strengthening the Injustice League. He is first seen standing amongst the numerous other supervillains as they gather at the Hall of Doom.[1] He silently watches as Lex Luthor addresses everyone, explaining his plans for world domination and the destruction of the Justice League. His is next shown assisting Luthor in a plot to anger Superman to the extent that his rage cancels out the advantage of his powers. To do this, Luthor presents Superman with video feed of Shaggy Man and Gorilla Grodd brutally torturing the young hero Geo-Force. The plan is a success, as the man of steel flies into a rage upon seeing this.
Superman and Black Lightning soon find the Hall of Doom, and attempt to free their captured friends. After a brief, but intense battle, the villains manage to overpower the two heroes, beating them unconscious. Unfortunately for the villains, their victory is short lived, as the captured members of the Justice League arrive, having been freed by Batman. Another brawl takes place, with Shaggy Man engaging Wondering Woman in combat, pinning the Amazon's arms behind her back. Despite his efforts, the villains are defeated and accumulated up. Suddenly Amanda Waller and the Suicide Squad appear, demanding the Justice League hand the bad guys over. Waller presents warrants for their arrests, and although the League drips with reluctance, they surrender the villains over to her.
Green Arrow remembers a time the Justice League fought Shaggy Man in the Canadian Rockies, during their early years. He somberly reflects on every detail of this battle, as each one painfully reminds him of the people the League used to be. He especially remembers the smell of curry during this battle, and believes it was simply Shaggy Man's wet fur. Despite this, he strongly affiliates the aroma with the events of that day. The conflict ended with the League defeating Shaggy Man, and discovering a strange object underneath an uprooted tree.[2]
He is next encountered rampaging across a city, attacking a Christmas parade until he is stopped by Red Arrow and Green Lantern. The heroes shoot him with an arrow containing 1500CC of Batman's most powerful nerve drug, but even this fails to stop him. However, it is far from useless, as it puts the creature in a docile state, similar to a strong dose of Ritalin. The heroes are unwilling to go through the lengthy process of turning Shaggy Man over to S.T.A.R. security, as they are late for the League's Christmas Party. Therefore, they decide to simply bring the drugged and harmless Shaggy Man with them. This plan goes surprisingly well, until the Shaggy Man begins to come out of his daze. Once realizing where he is, he plans to attack, but is suddenly given a present from the entire Justice League. The gift (a teddy bear) touches Shaggy Man so much, he decides not to attack, and joins the party. The party ends with Justice League giving Shaggy Man the honor of placing the star on the Christmas Tree.[3]
