Sharles Gluck, alias Energy Boy hails from the planet Ventura also known as the Gamblers Planet. When the Legion of Super-Heroes audition for new members, Sharles traveled to Earth surrounded by a large Venturian publicity contingent.
History
During his audition, his demonstration of power went well at first, but things changed due to Polar Boy's entrance he became distracted and was unable to continue. The Legionnaires thanked but rejected him for membership. Sharles accepted his rejection and returned home to Ventura with his disappointed publicity contingent.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
Energy Boy's powers come from his mental control of nuclear forces, bound into a construct called a Nuclo-globe.
Weaknesses
His powers are easily disrupted by a lapse in his concentration.
