"Power of Hope":

Quote1 All I have to offer Tanita is a friendly smile, a gentle hand, and a few words of comfort. In my mind that's not nearly enough, but it has made her very happy. It has given her a reason to smile, a moment of relief from her fear and pain. Quote2
Captain Marvel

Synopsis for "Power of Hope"

Quote1 Frustration, triumph, despair, and joy. The memories of those and a thousand other childhood experiences stay with me both as Billy and Captain Marvel. It makes it easy for me to relate to children. Quote2
Captain Marvel

Between capping volcanes, foiling bank robberies, and averting nuclear disasters, the hero known as Captain Marvel has constantly faced challenges -- leaving his young alter ego, Billy Batson, little time for his own life.

One day Billy receives a request for Captain Marvel to appear at a local children's hospital. There he helps restore hope to a ward full of sick and needy children by granting their wishes. Yet one special child faces despair and looks to the Captain for hope. Deeply affected by his encounter, this tale shows just how human the World's Mightiest Mortal truly is.
