Synopsis for "Stamina"

It's a beautiful day and, of course, Billy Batson is sitting inside playing video games in the dark instead. Tawky Tawny tells Billy to stop sitting so close to the screen while he plays to avoid hurting his eyes. Billy doesn't even flinch from his position, but, before he can continue, Tawny's lecture is interrupted by the sound of the doorbell.

Tawky Tawny opens the door and is face to face with the space caterpillar Mr. Mind. The alien begins a long-winded speech, but Tawny cuts him short, shouting to Billy to handle this instead. The boy begrudgingly leaves his video game to talk to the super villain at his door. Mr. Mind begins to issue a challenge but, again, is interrupted. The boy walks out the door and screams his magic word, "Shazam", to magically turn into his superhero alter-ego.

Since Billy is the one being challenged, he takes it upon himself to decide the challenge - a staring contest. Mr. Mind agrees and nominates his minion Evil Eye as his representative. The staring contest between the hero and the cyclops begins.

Almost immediately, Billy's eyes become tired. In order to continue on with the challenge, he calls up the stamina of Atlas to help him. Now with his new found endurance, Billy and Evil Eye are locked in a tense stare for a long time before the villain accidentally blinks. Shazam is overjoyed with his victory, but Mr. Mind swears to challenge Billy again. The hero is uninterested with the threat, though, and flicks Mr. Mind away from him. The hero screams his magic word again, turns back into his original self, and runs back inside his house.

Billy is back playing video games again. Mr. Tawny walks over and continues his lecture to Billy about sitting so close to the television. Then, the boy turns around to look at the tiger to show that his eyes are bright red from participating in the staring contest for so long. Disturbed, Tawny backs away, dismissing everything he's just said.
