Synopsis for "In the Days of Robin Hood"
This story is reprinted from Captain Marvel, Jr. #118.
Captain Marvel Jr. is summoned from 1953 to 700 years ago by a sorcerer and a bondsboy, in order to rescue Robin Hood who was jailed by the Earl of Nottingham. Captain Marvel Jr. comes to Nottingham where the Earl is competing in a archery contest, and after trespass Earl's arrow which was in the center of a target, he is jailed. Learning that Robin Hood and his men is jailed with him, Captain Marvel Jr. free everyone and the team fight with the Earl's soldiers. The Earl was extorting money from the people to pay brigands to slay King Richard and take the throne. King Richard is in Plymouth, two days of riding from Nottingham. The World's Mightiest Boy flies carrying Robin Hood and the Merry Men until Plymouth, just in order to defeat the brigands and save the king. Returnng to his throne, King Richard makes the sorcerer a member of his Royal Court. As for the bondsboy, the king sets him free from bondage, and called him Freeman - ancestor of Freedy Freeman.
